Powered by the Xclipse 940 GPU, it features one Cortex-X4 core operating at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.90 GHz, three medium-performance Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz, and four efficient Cortex-A520 cores at 2.0 GHz.

On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is produced using TSMC’s 4nm process, incorporates the Adreno 750 GPU and a high-performance Cortex-X4 core operating at 3300 MHz, five medium-performance Cortex-A720 cores, and two efficient Cortex-A520 cores operating at 2260 MHz.

Performance of CPU

Although Samsung’s 4nm process may seem more advanced, Geekbench results suggest that the disparity is not as significant. The Exynos 2400 achieved a multi-core score of 7,021 and a single-core score of 2,203. When comparing the two, the 8th Generation 3 achieved 2,213 points on the single-core test and 7,325 points on the multi-core test, indicating a difference of approximately 5% in the CPU department.

GPU Operation

Samsung asserts that the AMD RDNA 3-based Xclipse 940 GPU is approximately 70% quicker than its predecessor. Conversely, the Adreno 750 GPU, which is capable of operating native PC titles, is regarded as one of the finest on the market, even eclipsing the one found in Apple’s A17 Pro processor.

Nevertheless, the precise performance indicators of the 940 GPU are still unknown, as initial evaluations reveal an astonishing 25% decrease in performance compared to the Adreno 750.

The efficacy

The primary challenges faced by Exynos have consistently revolved around efficiency and thermal management. During a single AnTuTu test, the temperature of the Exynos 2400 increased by 14 degrees, whereas that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 raised by 8 degrees.

Although Samsung makes an effort to ensure image consistency among different phone variants, discrepancies are inevitable as a result of the distinct Image Signal Processors (ISPs) utilised by each processor.
